2025 Wild Plate Farm CSA Membership Agreement

CSA

Wild Plate Farm uses a traditional CSA share model. Members pay up-front to purchase shares of the season’s harvest. This up-front payment covers a majority of our operations for the year. In return we commit to working hard to grow beautiful, delicious, diverse seasonal produce for you using organic practices that increase biodiversity and preserve soil health. This CSA is particularly special because it’s our first season growing for our community! When we look back on Wild Plate Farm history, we will remember you all as the folks who dared to join us on this adventure and enabled us to live out our dream.

Members can choose between our two CSA options. The Full Plate offers weekly CSA boxes. The Half Plate offers every other week CSA boxes. Each of our CSA boxes will contain 7-9 items of produce.

Expecting the Unexpected: Sharing Risk & Reward

In many ways farming is unpredictable, so be prepared to expect the unexpected! For example: If the soil temp is just right for beets & turnips, expect a bounty of them in your box! If April is unusually wet or cold and we can’t get into the ground until mid May, we might have to push back the first pick-up date for the CSA. If forest fires cause intense smoke in August and we can’t work, there might be a week that is skipped. That being said, we want you to have an awesome CSA experience. We love growing food & are committed to providing you as much consistency as possible, but supporting local farms is an inherently different experience than the comforts of the grocery store, and some things are out of our control. We’ve built resiliency into our crop plan by including a diverse range of varieties that thrive in different conditions. We also commit to communicating clearly when things aren’t going as planned.

Pickup Locations & Dates

Our 18 week CSA is planned to run from June 15 - October 19th. Those who purchase The Full Plate option will pick up every Sunday during the season. Those who purchase The Half Plate option will pick-up every other week for a total of 9 weeks. We will split Half Plate members into two groups: Group A will pick up every other week from June 15 - October 12, and Group B will pick up every other week from June 22 - October 19. We will let you know which pick-up group you are in after all sign-ups are finalized!

Note: there is NO CSA Sunday August 31st (Labor Day Weekend)

We offer two pick-up locations:

  1. On-farm pick-up: 16215 140th Pl NE, Woodinville, WA 98072 Sundays 10am-2pm

  2. Seattle pick-up: The Growler Guys 8500 Lake City Way NE, Seattle, WA 98115 Sundays 1pm-9pm

We are so excited to partner with The Growler Guys! Wild Plate Farm members who pick-up their CSA veggies from The Growler Guys can get 10% off of a growler fill at pick-up. They’ve got an incredible selection of beer, cider, kombucha, CBD, seltzer, and mead on tap from local breweries!

The pick-up location you select at check-out will be your pick-up location for the season.

Splitting the CSA or Rotating CSA pick-up

We encourage those who are new to CSAs, who have their own garden, or aren’t sure they can use a full share to split the CSA with a friend or neighbor.

We’re happy to send CSA and farm updates to all members!

If you have a group coming from the same area for pick-ups and you’d like to send a rotating representative from your area to pick-up everyone’s bag, that works with us! Please let us know in the additional information at check-out if you plan to do this and who will be a part of your rotating group so that we can plan accordingly.

Missed Pick-Ups

There are two options if you cannot pick up your CSA:

  1. Donate or sell your share to a friend who is able to pick-up

  2. Let us know in advance and we will donate the veggies to a local food bank

All bags not picked up will be donated to a local food bank

Payment

The 18 week Full Plate CSA option costs $720

The 9 week Half Plate CSA option costs $360

We rely on the commitment of CSA members to plan our production schedule. Once a share is purchased, there are no refunds, either full or partial, for CSA memberships. If you are unable to continue receiving your share for whatever reason, you are free to cancel your membership at any time, or transfer it to another person, but will not receive a refund.

Reusable Veggie Bags

We use re-usable insulated bags to transport your produce. This system is better for the environment, and also allows us to keep your produce cool before landing into your arms. We have 2 sets of insulated bags per customer, which means you’ll have to bring back your empty bag each time you come to pick up your new one. That way we can wash and sanitize the previous week’s bag and keep the delicious veggie cycle going. We thank you in advance for helping us make this system work!
